Tõnu Trubetsky bänd The Flowers of Romance otsib endale uut viiuldajat ja tšellisti. Tõnu toonitab, et liigseid illusioone teha ei maksa - bändiliige peab arvestama sellega, et lennukipiletid tuleb kontserdile sõites endiselt ise kinni maksta.
"Kriipsutan alla, et kõik, mis ma siin interviews räägin, on tõsi, et siin ei ole mingisuguseid väljamõeldud vastuseid," alustab Trubetky oma intervjuud.
Mis bänd on Flowers of Romance?
Interkontinentaalne glam rock/punk rock bänd. Johnny Rotten on näiteks meie kohta öelnud, et: "The Flowers of Romance are about ponces, people who pretend to be friends but all they really want is to leech on a good thing and spend your money. The original Flowers of Romance had about 40 fucking members, Keith was one of them and I gave them that name."
Kui kaua te tegutsenud olete ja mis on senini kõige suuremad saavutused olnud?
Alustasime New Yorgis 4. aprillil 1999, enne kontserttegevust aga juba palju varem. Esimene kontsert toimus Continentalis (25 Third Avenue) koos selliste bändidega nagu The Derogatories -
- ja Heal!.

Miks te bändi uut viiuldajat ja tšellisti otsite? Mis eelmistega juhtus?
Olen tähele pannud, et viiuldajad peavad bändis vastu keskmiselt 5 aastat, siis tüdinevad või midagi. Detsembris 2009 kutsusin bändi ka Soo Catwoman'it. Ta keeldus, kuna ta ei oska ühtegi pilli mängida. Mul tekkis temaga Myspace'is kirjavahetus, kus ta kirjutas muuhulgas järgmist:
I am just wondering why you suggest the name 'Flowers of Romance' came from anywhere but Sid Vicious - I know - I was there. Sid thought it up - no one else. (Soo Catwoman, December 12, 2009)
It is possible that John thought up the name originally but when I met Sid and John, way before they were famous, Sid asked me if I could play bass, when I said I couldn't he said he didn't care - did I want to join his band 'the flowers of romance', so that's the first I heard of the name. Yes Keith Levine was also a 'member', many people were asked to join after I was but nothing ever came of it from what I know. Later John recorded the song 'the flowers of romance' with Public Image as you know. The girl in the film - I have no clue, just one of Malcolm's people I guess. It's on my wikipedia page I think - the girl's name. [Judy Croll] /---/ I am all about truth, but I do realise it differs from person to person. Olen ebaõnnestunult bändi kutsunud ka Lu Edmonds'it Public Image Ltd.-st. Helistasin talle Londonisse aastal 2000 - ta andis mulle Bukarestis enda visiitkaardi. Ta ei nõustunud, kuna mängis sellel ajal juba mitmes bändis korraga.
Samal aastal ühines aga bändiga Bruno O'Ya, seda küll lühikeseks ajaks.
